behind the story
Walter Vaughn Buster, a native of San Angelo, Texas, grew up under the big skies of West Texas and vistas of Northern New Mexico. Influenced by windmills, inspired by the unseen within everything visible. Buster has been in art metal for over 40 years. In addition to being a self-taught silversmith Buster learned the art of western spur making from renowned Wild West Traveling star performer Pate Boone in Christoval Texas. Later becoming a registered Architect, he designed and fabricated art lighting for the hospitality industry including Disney, Mark Miller’s (Santa Fe Coyote Café chef) Red Sage in D.C, Mary Kay Cosmetics Corporate facility, Stephen Pyles of Dallas and The White House to name a few.
